One of One: Dallara MACCHINA POSTO SINGOLO revealed at the Dallara Academy
October 8, 2026
An evening with Giampaolo Dallara, Azimut AHE and leading figures from the automotive world to celebrate a unique creation and the beginning of a new chapter in its history.
The Dallara Academy in Varano de’ Melegari hosted One of One – A Private Reveal with Dallara, an exclusive event organised by Azimut AHE – Automobile Heritage Enhancement in collaboration with Dallara.
At the entrance to the Dallara Academy, guests were welcomed by two Ferrari 499P cars from the Azimut AHE collection, offering an immediate glimpse into the Fund’s automotive portfolio before the unveiling of the MACCHINA POSTO SINGOLO.
At the centre of the evening was the MACCHINA POSTO SINGOLO, the one-off automobile conceived by Engineer Giampaolo Dallara. Built around a central driving position and designed for both road and track, the Macchina represents a personal synthesis of his experience in motorsport, lightweight engineering and aerodynamics.
Alessandro Baldin, Senior Fund Manager and member of the AHE Investment Committee, presented the project behind the acquisition of the automobile by Azimut AHE. Engineer Giampaolo Dallara shared memories and anecdotes from its conception, development and testing, offering guests a direct insight into the decisions and experiences that shaped his creation.
Angelica Dallara, co-founder and Vice President of the Fondazione Caterina Dallara, spoke about the Foundation's activities and the charitable purpose of the sale. The proceeds have been allocated to the Foundation's initiatives supporting the local community and younger generations of the Val Ceno.
Among those attending were Pietro Giuliani, Chairman of Azimut Holding, Andrea Pontremoli, CEO of Dallara, and Antonello Coletta, Global Head of Endurance and Corse Clienti at Ferrari.
A special guest was Giorgetto Giugiaro, accompanied by his son Fabrizio Giugiaro. Following the unveiling, Giugiaro expressed particular appreciation for the styling of the Macchina. Another memorable moment came when Engineer Dallara signed the rear bonnet of the automobile.
The evening also marked the presentation of MACCHINA. Dialogo con Giampaolo Dallara, a volume written by Sandro Binelli and published by Automotive Masterpieces.
The book, warmly received by Engineer Dallara himself and Azimut AHE, attracted considerable interest among the guests, many of whom took the opportunity to have their copies personally signed by the Engineer.
The MACCHINA POSTO SINGOLO is the first Dallara to be included among the AUTOMOTIVE MASTERPIECES, with its history and provenance documented according to the research institute's certified methodology.
The event brought together the automobile's creator, its new custodians and some of the people who have contributed to its story. A story that, for the MACCHINA POSTO SINGOLO, is only beginning.
