Notes body Pre-production cars built and finished at Pininfarina’s Cambiano facilities, with body panels supplied by ITCA (Industria Torinese Carrozzerie Automobili). When regular production began in mid-1984, body manufacture and assembly were transferred to Carrozzeria Scaglietti in Modena, part of Ferrari. Thus, the pre-production Testarossas represent the last Ferrari 12-cylinder berlinettas to be entirely completed by Pininfarina.

Connolly supplied the original leather, while Schedoni was responsible for trimming and finishing the interiors at Ferrari. The dashboard was finished in Testa di Moro dark brown leather (Connolly VM 890), the same shade used on contemporary 512 BBi interiors, creating an elegant contrast with the Beige 3218 upholstery typical of the pre-production Testarossa show cars. "Castoro" (beaver-brown) carpeting.
