Notes Engine  The previous 141/1 block was blown during testing in 1959, so Richie Ginther obtained a replacement block from Ferrari. This unit was "numero interno" 142/1. Since the difference between 141 and 142 was only in the stroke of the crankshaft, the crankcases were essentially identical. On this basis, Ginther could rebuild a new engine.

Notes Engine  Despite being of the correct (4 L) 141 type, this unit is said to have been previously fitted in Taruffi’s 315 S, the winner of the 1957 Mille Miglia. This engine was later blown during testing in 1959.
