3rd and current engine no. 142/1
Manufacturer: FERRARI AUTOMOBILI (IT)
Note: The previous 141/1 block was blown during testing in 1959, so Richie Ginther obtained a replacement block from Ferrari. This unit was "numero interno" 142/1. Since the difference between 141 and 142 was only in the stroke of the crankshaft, the crankcases were essentially identical. On this basis, Ginther could rebuild a new engine.
