STARTING POINT
The 1953 Lancia Aurelia B22 Berlina, chassis no. B22-1263, is a sedan with a well-known sporting past. It was believed that it had tackled the 1953 Rally del Sestrière with the no.130.
RESEARCH
Evidently, there was some truth in the history of the car, but also some confusion: the no. 130 was another Aurelia! Our research has confirmed the participation in the 1953 Rally del Sestrière, but with the no. 136. It was then ascertained that the car also participated in the following year, 1954 and that, in both cases, it was driven by famous racing drivers: the first year by Emilio Christillin and Sandro Fiorio; the following year by Emilio Giletti with Cinti.
