STARTING POINT
Of the 1950 Panhard Autocorse Gilco 750 Sport Spider (Carrozzeria Colli), chassis no. 306529, the sporting history and participation in the 1955 Mille Miglia, with barchetta bodywork, were known.
RESEARCH
The research in this case was particularly complex (but exciting!), due to the incredible history of this car. But, following investigations and comparisons on various documentary, bookish and photographic sources, it was possible to define the evolution of this car in the body of the car: from a four-door sedan (Panhard) exhibited at the 1950 Salone dell’Automobile di Torino, to a "disco volante" coupè (Colli), to barchetta. And was possible to validate participation, in all, in no less than five Mille Miglia: two as a sedan (1951, 1952), two as a coupè (1953, 1954), one as a barchetta (1955).
