Luigi Chinetti (Jerago con Orago, July 17, 1901 - Greenwich, August 17, 1994) was an Italian racing driver and entrepreneur with US citizenship. Driving an Alfa Romeo 8C together with co-driver Raymond Sommer, Chinetti won his first 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1932. The following year he won the 24 Hours of Spa together with Louis Chiron. In 1934, with co-driver Philippe Étancelin, he won his second 24 Hours of Le Mans always aboard an Alfa Romeo 8C. In 1953 he ended his automotive career and became the official importer of Ferrari cars in North America. In 1958 Chinetti founded NART, a racing team that was active until 1982.
