#SassiSuperga
The Sassi–Superga hill climb is considered one of the oldest hill climb events in the Turin area, with its origins dating back to the early 20th century. With a length of approximately 4.9 km and over 400 meters of elevation gain, the climb runs from the Sassi district of Turin to the Basilica of Superga, covering a route characterized by continuous elevation gain, tight corners, and variable gradients typical of the Piedmontese hills. Due to its proximity to major automotive manufacturers, the event became a reference point for development and testing: works teams such as Fiat, Lancia, and Abarth used it to trial sports cars and prototypes in a competitive setting. At the same time, the race attracted privateers and small constructors from the region, offering them a platform to compete and gain visibility. Notable participants included Felice Nazzaro and Mario Tadini.
We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
