The 12 Heures de Casablanca was an endurance-type car race, organized in Ain Diab along the coast west of Casablanca by the Automobile-Club Marocain on a road circuit 4.2 kilometers long in 1952, then 3.26 in 1953. This competition was intended for sports cars of the Grand Touring type, but also for touring cars. Between 1954 and 1956, no motor racing was organized on this dangerous route more particularly intended for bicycle races (close to the Anfa district, in the middle-class suburbs of Casablanca), but in 1957 it was quickly redeveloped and increased to 7.618 kilometers thanks to the Royal Automobile Club du Maroc, to host the first official Grand Prix du Maroc 1957 (won by Jean Behra on Maserati).
