William Vaccari, founder of the Vaccari company, specialized in the construction of car chassis in Modena, and affectionately called "il tubista" (i.e. "the plumber") by the Drake of Maranello, became in 1956 the sole official supplier for Ferrari. From his small workshop, the chassis of the most prestigious Gran Turismo cars began to emerge.
