#VitoSabbia
Vito Sabbia was an Italian amateur racing driver active in the early 1960s, primarily associated with the Scuderia Etna based in Catania, Sicily. He participated in several editions of the Targa Florio, one of the most prestigious endurance races of the time. In the 1960 Targa Florio, Sabbia, alongside co-driver Vito Coco, drove an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce 1300 for Scuderia Etna, finishing 20th overall. In the 1964 edition, Sabbia teamed up with Gaetano Spampinato, piloting the unique Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce "Goccia," a one-off model designed by Giovanni Michelotti and tuned by Conrero. They completed the race, securing 24th place overall and 7th in their class. His involvement in motorsports appears to have been primarily at the amateur level, with no records indicating a broader impact in the racing community.
