The Tulip Rally (Tulpenrallye) is the oldest rally in the Netherlands, first held in 1949. Conceived to promote post-war motoring, it soon grew into one of the great international rallies of Europe. Part of the European Rally Championship (ERC) for many years, the event became famous for its long routes that often crossed several countries, combining demanding road sections with varied surfaces. During the 1960s and 1970s it attracted leading works teams and top drivers, helping to establish the Netherlands on the international rally map. Today, it lives on as a celebrated historic rally, keeping alive the spirit of endurance and adventure that defined its early editions.
We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
