#TrofeoBettojaGT

The Trofeo Bettoja GT is an Italian motorsport event dedicated to grand touring cars and named in honor of the Bettoja family, historically linked to hospitality and motor racing. First held in the early 1960s in Rome, the competition was designed to showcase both production GT machinery and the driving skills of gentleman racers. Raced on a challenging circuit—often based on public roads or closed-off sectors—the event featured a mix of sharp turns, short straights, and elevation changes demanding balanced car setup and precise handling. Over the years the Trofeo Bettoja GT featured entries from Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Porsche and Lancia, alongside privateers, offering a competitive yet accessible platform for sports cars of the era. While its national popularity peaked in the 1960s and 1970s, the event later evolved into a historic competition, celebrating Italy’s GT racing heritage. Today the Trofeo Bettoja GT remains a nostalgic homage to the golden age of grand tourers and amateur racing in Italy.
