The Swedish Rally, officially known at the time as the International Swedish Rally (Svenska Rallyt), has been Scandinavia’s most important rally event since the 1950s. Originally run in summer as the Rally to the Midnight Sun, from 1965 it moved to the winter calendar, becoming famous for its snow and ice stages lined with snowbanks. It was part of the European Rally Championship and later the WRC, and remains one of the most distinctive events in international rallying.
We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
