The 750 cc category is where Stanguellini truly excelled. The 750 Sport Nazionale marked Stanguellini's debut in the field of race car preparation in 1936. After the war, the small and fast Barchetta Sport cars underwent a radical technical evolution from 1947 to the early 1950s. In 1950, the revolutionary 750 Sport Internazionale debuted, featuring a super-square twin-cam engine. Stanguellini achieved five victories in the Italian Championship for the 750 Sport Internazionale class over nine years: in '47, '52, '54, '55, and '56. There were also many successes outside of the national borders.
