Sergio Manente (May 4, 1924 – December 3, 1996) was an Italian footballer and coach, known for his defensive solidity and tactical intelligence. He played as a defender in Serie A, most notably with Juventus from 1948 to 1953, contributing to the club’s Serie A title in 1949–50. He later played for Palermo and Novara, bringing experience and leadership. In 1952, he earned one cap for the Italian national team, a testament to his consistency at the club level. After retiring, he transitioned into coaching, managing teams such as Juventus, Novara, and Livorno. Though his coaching career was less prominent than his playing days, he remained an influential figure in Italian football.
