Sergio Barbasio (1943–2008) was an Italian rally driver active during the late 1960s and 1970s. Closely associated with Lancia, he achieved strong results with the Fulvia 1.6 HF “Fanalone,” including 3rd overall at the 1970 Tulip Rally, 3rd at the 1971 Sanremo Rally, and 3rd at the 1971 999 Minuti Rally. He also took part in international events such as Wiesbaden and the RAC Rally, often paired with top co-drivers like Mario Mannucci and Pierino Sodano. Though less celebrated than team leaders like Munari or Lampinen, Barbasio played a consistent role in Lancia’s rally campaigns, contributing to the marque’s reputation for reliability and competitiveness.
