Sebastian Vettel is a German racing driver born on July 3, 1987, in Heppenheim, Germany. He began karting at the age of three and quickly progressed through the ranks of junior motorsport, winning several titles in Formula BMW and Formula 3. He made his Formula 1 debut in 2007 with BMW Sauber and secured his first full-time seat with Toro Rosso in 2008, winning the Italian Grand Prix that year and becoming the youngest F1 race winner at the time. He joined Red Bull Racing in 2009 and dominated the sport between 2010 and 2013, winning four consecutive World Championships. Renowned for his speed, consistency, and technical understanding, Vettel moved to Scuderia Ferrari in 2015, where he became the team’s leading driver during a transitional era. During his time at Ferrari, he achieved 14 Grand Prix victories and contended for the championship, finishing runner-up in 2017 and 2018. In 2021 and 2022, he raced for Aston Martin before announcing his retirement from Formula 1 at the end of the 2022 season. Beyond racing, Vettel is known for his intelligence, dry humor, and increasing focus on environmental and social issues, becoming an outspoken advocate for sustainability in motorsport.
