#SanremoSestriereRallyDItalia
In 1970 and 1971, the Italian stage of the newly-born World Rally Championship was the result of the merger of the Sanremo Rally with the Sestriere Rally, and was named Rally d'Italia Sanremo- Sestriere. At the time, they were the two rallies with the most solid tradition in Italy: the Sanremo raced since 1928, the Sestriere since 1950. The race was definitively replaced by the Sanremo Rally in 1973.
