#RomaMotorShow
On June 23, 1947, Michele Favìa del Core—founder of Motor magazine, the oldest automotive publication in Italy—inaugurated “Il Concorso Internazionale di Eleganza della Carrozzeria,” a launching pad for now-successful brands, set against the backdrop of the Pincio with many prominent figures from the entertainment world. Over time, the event, whose legacy was carried forward by his son Sergio, saw an increasing presence of cars exhibited by automotive manufacturers, and in 1958, it naturally evolved into the “Rassegna Internazionale dell’Automobile.” In 1969, Corinna Favìa del Core took over the organization, and the show underwent another transformation: it was no longer limited to automobiles, and its name was changed to "Motor Show," reflecting the name of the organizing magazine. Despite all these transformations, the Roma Motor Show has maintained the concept of an 'International Elegance Exhibition of Automobiles and Motor Vehicles'.
We'll tell the story of this event on the occasion of its anniversary or when we reach a sufficient number of cars.
