Peter Stevens is a British automotive designer best known for his work on high-performance and competition-related cars. He was involved in the design of the McLaren F1, one of the most celebrated supercars of the 1990s, and also contributed to projects such as the Jaguar XJR-15, Lotus Elan M100 and various specialist sports and racing cars. In rally history, Stevens is associated with the visual development of the Subaru Impreza WRC, helping to define the wide-bodied two-door World Rally Car shape that became one of the most recognisable images of the late 1990s World Rally Championship. His work links road-car design, motorsport aerodynamics and competition identity, making him a relevant figure in the history of both supercars and modern rally cars.
