#PedroRodriguez

Pedro Rodríguez de la Vega (Mexico City, January 18, 1940 – Nuremberg, July 11, 1971) was a Mexican racing driver. With a precise and methodical driving style, he was among the best of his generation in the wet. Unlike his brother Ricardo, his career developed more slowly, but he managed to win two Formula 1 Grand Prix and above all in the International Sportscar Championship in which he led Porsche to win the 1970 and 1971 world championships, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1968. In 1971 he was the victim of a fatal accident during a sports car race on the German circuit of the Norisring in Nuremberg. The Autodromo de Ciudad del Mexico is named after him and his brother Ricardo, who also died on the track, during practice for a car race.

We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
