“Parade cars” were formal, ceremonial vehicles designed to transport heads of state, ministers, military leaders, or visiting dignitaries during official events, public appearances, and state parades. Characterized by long wheelbases, open or semi-open body styles, and an imposing yet elegant presence, these vehicles were often custom-built by renowned coachbuilders. Coachbuilders created one-off and limited edition torpedo and landaulet bodies with six or seven seats, often featuring folding roofs, partitioned cabins, and ceremonial fittings. Their purpose was not only transportation but also to embody authority, prestige, and national pride in public ceremonies.
