Michael Macht, born on August 28, 1960, served as the board member responsible for production at the German automaker Volkswagen. Previously, Macht was the CEO of Porsche, where he was appointed as chairman of both Porsche AG and the Porsche Automobil Holding executive board on July 23, 2009. He also held a position on the Porsche SE board. He was succeeded by Matthias Müller, who had previously managed product strategy at Volkswagen. Macht stepped down from his role as head of group production at Volkswagen on August 1, 2014. His departure coincided with challenges related to the implementation of the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) production strategy.
