James C. Zeder, Chrysler Vice President and Chief Engineer during the post World War II decades, was the much-younger brother of the legendary Fred Zeder, one of the famous "Three Musketeers" Zeder, O. R. Skelton, and Carl Breer, who helped Walter P. Chrysler in the founding years of the company.

When Chrysler embarked on the long-term study of engine technology that led to the first-generation hemispherical V-8 engines, James Zeder was Chrysler leader engineering manager.
