H. Ivan F. Evernden joined Rolls Royce in 1916 and by 1922 was working in the design department as a protegé of Sir Henry Royce. In late 1940s he was Chief Projects Engineer at Rolls-Royce Car Division and head of the Styling Department. He was the designer of the 1952 Bentley Continental.
