Giuseppe “Gaetano” Starrabba di Giardinelli (born December 3, 1932 in Palermo) is an Italian nobleman and former racing driver active between the 1950s and late 1960s. He competed in events like the Targa Florio (1955–1968), driving cars such as Maserati A6GCS, Ferrari 500 Testa Rossa and Porsche 906/911S, often finishing well in class and overall. In 1961 he made a one-time entry in the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza with a privately-entered Lotus‑Maserati, retiring after 19 laps. Gaetano also raced in non-championship F1 events (e.g., Syracuse, Rome) with finishes including 6th at Syracuse and 5th at Rome in 1963. From 1965 to 1967 he drove for Scuderia Pegaso in GT machinery like the 250 GTO, 250 LM and Dino 206S alongside Clemente Ravetto, securing class podiums in the Targa Florio. He concluded his racing career in 1968, later dedicating himself to family agriculture and historic-car restoration in Palermo.
