#GiorgioSchön

Giorgio Schön (Novara May 15, 1946), joined the high fashion family business alongside his mother, Mila Schön. He ran the company for 23 years, eventually becoming CEO and significantly expanding the brand, particularly in Japan. In his spare time, he focused on racing cars and collecting classic vehicles. His first race was the Monte Carlo Rally in 1968, driving a Cooper S. Over a 23-year racing career, he claimed four Italian circuit championships (with Porsche, Alpine, Fiat Ritmo, and Porsche 934), and finished first overall in the 1979 Giro d'Italia with a Porsche 935 Biturbo. He participated in eight Monte Carlo rallies, nine Targa Florio races, and entered 33 World Championship events, including Le Mans. In 1981, he raced officially for Lancia Martini, driving the Beta Montecarlo Turbo, which won the world championship that year. He also ventured into offshore powerboat racing once, winning the prestigious Viareggio-Bastia-Viareggio competition. In 1993, the family business was sold. From that point onward, Schön became a Ferrari and Maserati dealer for Northern Italy. In 1994, he acquired the Zagato brand, and sold it in 2001. In 1996, Giorgio Pianta, CEO of Alfacorse, reached out to him to establish a team for the ITC, fielding four official Alfa Romeo cars. Over the past 20 years, he has focused primarily on Rossocorsa, the largest Ferrari and Maserati dealership in Europe.
