#FulvioRubbieri

Fulvio Rubbieri was a pioneer of Italian rallying and a works driver for the Fiat Rally team in the late 1960s and 1970s. He began his career as a co-driver in the early 1960s, partnering with the legendary Arnaldo Cavallari. In 1964, they finished third in the Österreichische Alpenfahrt in an Alfa Romeo Giulia TI Super. When Rubbieri transitioned to driving, he became a key figure in Italian rallying, often racing with Franco Cavriani as co-driver. Rubbieri was one of the first drivers for the Fiat Rally Team, competing in various models, including the Fiat 125S, 124ST, and 124 Spider. He finished eighth at the 1968 Rallye Sestriere with co-driver Piero Bini. He participated in the Rallye de Monte-Carlo several times, securing two consecutive class wins in 1970 and 1971, finishing 19th overall both years in a Fiat 124 Spider. He also competed in the Italian rally series, achieving class victories in an Autobianchi A112 Abarth and finishing 11th at the 1971 Rallye Sanremo-Sestriere. After leaving the Fiat Rally Team in 1972, Rubbieri drove an Opel Ascona RS in the 1973 Rallye de Monte-Carlo. He occasionally competed in Italian rallies afterward, returning in the 1990s to race a Porsche at the Rally San Marino.
