Count Franco Mazzotti Biancinelli Faglia (Chiari – BS, Italy) was a racing driver, a daredevil aviator, a wealthy aristocrat, and a philanthropist. Most of all, he is best known for having been one of the four "musketeers": with Aymo Maggi, Renzo Castagneto and Giovanni Canestrini, founded and directed the Mille Miglia race; it was Mazzotti himself to first provide financial support for the event, and he was the inventor of the legendary Mille Miglia name.
