One of Carlo Abarth's flagships, often sided by the talent of brilliant coachbuilders, were the GT cars based on the FIAT 600. The first of the little Zagato-bodied coupés - the 750 - appearing in 1956. Its makers were aware of the potential market for a Spider version, and the first one was exhibited at the 1957 Salone Internazionale dell’Auto di Torino. Only 3 cars of the 1958 Spyder Zagato, each one different for some detail, seem to be ever built.
