#DomenicoTramontana
Domenico Tramontana was an Italian racing driver active in the early 1950s, participating in both national and international motorsport events. To cite just a few examples from a broader racing career during that period: He competed in the 1952 Gran Premio di Siracusa, driving a Ferrari 125/166. Despite a strong field that included drivers like Alberto Ascari and Giuseppe Farina, Tramontana qualified 15th. Unfortunately, he retired from the race due to mechanical issues. In the 1950 Giro di Sicilia, Tramontana co-drove a Cisitalia-Colombo 1100 Sport with Giovanni Casales. They achieved a class record in the 1,100cc category during the Catania–Palermo stage, highlighting Tramontana's skill in endurance racing. He also participated in the 1951 Targa Florio, piloting a Ferrari 166 MM. However, he did not finish the race.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
