#DickMcGuire
Richard “Dick” McGuire was an American sports car driver active mainly in SCCA competition during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Associated especially with racing in Texas and the southern United States, he appeared in events at venues such as Eagle Mountain, Mansfield, Galveston, Green Valley and Hondo, driving a variety of sports and modified cars including Ferrari, Porsche, AC, Triumph and Chevrolet-powered specials. Period records also connect him with Ferrari Monza machinery, sometimes entered in D Modified and later C Modified classes, reflecting the evolving displacement and classification practices of American sports car racing at the time.
We'll publish a biography on him on the occasion of his anniversary or when it will be reached a sufficient number of cars.
