Daniele Audetto is an Italian motorsport figure born in 1943 in Turin, with a career spanning roles as a rally co-driver, team manager, and motorsport executive. He started as a sports journalist before becoming a co-driver for Lancia, partnering with drivers like Luca di Montezemolo and Sandro Munari, while earning a management degree from Bocconi University. After a severe accident in the 1972 San Martino di Castrozza Rally, he transitioned into motorsport management within the Fiat Group. He became the sporting director of the Lancia rally team, contributing to its international successes. In 1976, he replaced Luca di Montezemolo as Ferrari's Formula 1 team manager, leading the team to a constructors' title in 1976 and both drivers' and constructors' championships in 1977. Later, he oversaw all Fiat Group motorsport activities, worked as an independent consultant in Formula 1 and powerboat racing, and served as Lamborghini Engineering's general manager between 1989 and 1993, overseeing the brand's F1 engine program. During the 1990s, he collaborated with Ligier and Arrows in Formula 1 and later took key management roles at Super Aguri F1 (2006-2008) and HRT F1.
