#CarloNervi

Carlo Nervi was a well-regarded oncologist based in Rome, known for his clinical expertise and contributions to the Italian medical community. He was the son of the legendary Italian architect Pier Luigi Nervi (1891–1979), a pioneer in reinforced concrete construction and modern structural design. Born into a family of four siblings—three of whom followed their father's path into architecture—Carlo chose a different vocation and pursued medicine. After completing his medical studies in Rome, he specialized in oncology, where he held senior positions in leading hospitals and contributed to advancements in cancer treatment and research. Throughout his career, Carlo Nervi was recognized for his compassionate approach to patient care and his commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration in oncology. His work, combining rigorous scientific understanding with a deeply humanistic ethos, echoed the same dedication to precision and integrity that defined his father's architectural legacy.
