The Campionato Italiano Rally is Italy’s principal national rally championship. Established in 1961 under the authority of the country’s national automobile sporting body, it has brought together many of Italy’s foremost road rallies and has awarded national titles to drivers, co-drivers and manufacturers. Over the decades, its regulations, calendar and official designation have evolved, while it has remained the leading series in Italian rallying. Today it is organised by ACI Sport and is known as the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally.
