#BiellaOropa

The Biella–Oropa was a demanding hillclimb. First held as a motorcycle race in 1912, it expanded to include automobiles in 1921 under the initiative of the Biella Auto Club. After a single car edition in 1924, the race became an annual highlight in the Biella motorsport calendar from 1928 onward. Throughout the 1930s, the competition featured some of the era's most celebrated drivers including the rising star Count Carlo Felice Trossi. The race continued sporadically before World War II and in the post-war years. After a 30-year hiatus, the event was revived for the Italian Hill Climb Championship from 1988 to 1997. In 2010, a non-competitive re-enactment was organized.
