The Bavarian Legends Collection was a private museum assembled by Zhengtong Automobile, one of BMW’s largest dealership groups in China. Curated with official support from BMW and hosted in a flagship facility in Beijing, the collection included some of the rarest and most significant BMW models ever produced, many restored by BMW Group Classic. Active from approximately 2016 until its dissolution in 2022, the collection gained international attention when it was entirely consigned—nearly 30 vehicles—to RM Sotheby’s for auction at Motorworld Munich. Among the highlights were multiple pre-war BMW 328s, post-war sports cars, and significant M models, all offered without reserve.
