#AscoliColleSanMarco

The Ascoli – Colle San Marco is a historic Italian hill climb first held in 1949. The race takes place on a winding mountain road that climbs from the city of Ascoli Piceno to the Colle San Marco plateau, covering approximately 10 kilometers. Established in the postwar period, the event quickly became one of the most important fixtures in central Italy’s motorsport calendar. Known for its technically demanding route, it attracted a wide range of cars—sports prototypes, touring cars, and single-seaters—as well as prominent Italian drivers. The race has been part of the Italian Hill Climb Championship for several decades, with occasional interruptions. It continues today as a competitive and traditional event in Italian motorsport, reflecting both its sporting legacy and regional roots.
