Adartico Vudafieri (born October 11, 1950, in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy) is a renowned former Italian rally driver, affectionately nicknamed "Vuda." He began his racing career in 1973, driving a Simca Rallye 2, and quickly established himself as a formidable competitor in the rally scene. In 1978, he clinched the Italian Rally Championship title driving a Lancia Stratos, marking his emergence as a top-tier driver. In 1980, he secured his second Italian Rally Championship, this time behind the wheel of a Fiat 131 Abarth. In 1981, he achieved the European Rally Championship title, further cementing his status in European motorsport. In 1983, he transitioned to the World Rally Championship (WRC) with the Lancia Rally 037, achieving notable results including a 5th place finish at the Rally de Portugal and a podium finish (3rd place) at the Tour de Corse. In 1984, he dominated the newly established Italian Rally Open Championship, securing victories in four major events: Rally della Lana, 4 Regioni, Piancavallo, and San Marino. In 1985, he concluded his active driving career on a high note by winning the Rally di Monza for the second time, showcasing his enduring skill and competitiveness. Throughout his illustrious career, Vudafieri was celebrated for his exceptional driving skills, versatility across different rally cars, and his contributions to Italian motorsport. Post-retirement, he has occasionally participated in historic rally events, sharing his vast experience and passion for the sport with new generations.
