Adamo Pasotti (Lumezzane, 1916 – 1999) broke away from his father's company, Pasotti Giacomo, in 1946 to establish an artisanal die-casting firm in Brescia, known as IDRA. Over the following decades, the company experienced significant growth. Under the "Pasotti Group," IDRA S.p.A. became a leader in the production of large-scale die-casting machinery, alongside other specialized companies in die-casting, foundries, and mechanical carpentry. With multiple facilities across the Brescia area, the group employed over 1,500 workers. By 1978, the Pasotti Group achieved a turnover of 45 billion lire.
