A 1947 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Cabriolet Pinin Farina won the 2nd Mantova Concours

The second Concours of elegance Città di Mantova was organized by the Club 8Volanti Tazio Nuvolari with the cooperation of the Automobile Club di Mantova as well as of the Scuderia Mantova Corse.
The Concours, in fact, was organized on the occasion of the Gran Premio Nuvolari and the cars have been exhibited in Piazza Sordello when the cars of the competition were out of town.About thirty cars were judged by a jury that defined the podium in each category and best of show.
The first prize of the category cars open until 1905 went to the Museo Nicolis who brought a 1911 Lancia SGV Beta 20HP.The first prize of the category open cars from 1919 to 1930 went to the 1930 Lancia Dilambda Roadster James Young.The first prize of the category open cars from 1931 to 1945 went to the 1135 Lancia Belnà Cariolet coachwork by Pourtout.

The highest award called "La più bella del Reame 2016 Premio Eberhard” was won by the 1947 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Cabriolet coachwork by Pinin Farina presented by Nino Manzoni.A wonderful car belonged to Baghetti family, known Milanese industrialists. Sold in the USA in the 50's is back in the 90's in Italy. The special prize “Come una Conchiglia Fossile" (Like a fossil shell ) - Coppa ACI Torino dedicated to the best preserved car was attribute to the 1953 Alfa Romeo 1900 Cabriolet coachwork by Pinin Farina.
A rare vehicle belonging to the same family since its first registration.
The special premium for Prototypes - Coppa Motul went to 1968 Lancia Flavia SS Zagato sn: sn 820050000004 of the Collezione Lopresto.
Carrozzeria Zagato had launched in 1962 a sporting version of the Lancia Flavia, called "Sport". In that year Zagato proposed a new interpretation designed by Ercole Spada, much more modern of the previews. The first prototype of this two-seats coupé, with a 1800 engine on a shortened chassis, had a red livery and a few differences in details compared to the 2000, the prototype presented at 1968 Turin motor show, painted yellow. This prototype was the car displayed in Mantova.
The Concours has great potential and will certainly grow in the near future.
