Walter Payerbach was a member of the Porsche development team responsible for the 901/911. He is documented among the engineers and specialists involved in bringing the new model from prototype development to production, working alongside figures such as Leopold Jäntschke, Erwin Komenda, Hans Mezger, Helmuth Bott and Ferdinand Alexander Porsche.
