Theo Bauer was a Porsche engineer and a member of the development team responsible for the Porsche 901/911. Ferry Porsche transferred Bauer, together with Werner Trenkler, to Ferdinand Alexander Porsche’s newly established design department, where they produced accurate engineering drawings from the stylists’ concepts and provided continuous feedback on their technical feasibility. Bauer thus helped bridge styling and engineering during the development of the new 901/911.
