#InternationalesAVUSRennen

The Internationales AVUS-Rennen was one of the principal motor-racing meetings held on Berlin’s historic AVUS circuit. Staged under a variety of official titles and organised at different times by bodies including the AvD, DMV, ADAC and Berlin-based automobile clubs, the event featured sports cars, GTs, touring cars and single-seaters. During the 1950s and 1960s, editions such as the Internationales AvD-Avus-Rennen – Grosser Preis von Berlin attracted leading manufacturers and drivers, while later meetings continued the tradition under titles including the Internationales DMV/BAC-Avus-Rennen and Preis von Berlin. Closely associated with the exceptionally fast AVUS circuit, the event remained an important fixture of German motorsport through the post-war decades.
