Harald Ertl (1948–1982) was an Austrian racing driver and motorsport journalist whose career ranged from touring cars and sports cars to Formula 2 and Formula 1. He competed in Grand Prix racing between 1975 and 1980 with Hesketh, Ensign and ATS, and was one of the drivers who helped rescue Niki Lauda after his 1976 Nürburgring accident. Ertl was particularly successful in the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft, winning the 1978 title with a Schnitzer BMW 320 Turbo and later racing turbocharged Ford Capri machinery for Zakspeed.
