#DeutscheRennsportMeisterschaft

The Deutsche Rennsport-Meisterschaft (DRM) was Germany’s premier national motor racing championship from 1972 to 1985, succeeding the Deutsche Automobil-Rundstrecken-Meisterschaft. It initially featured FIA Group 2 touring cars and Group 4 GT cars, divided into two engine-capacity classes, before adopting the more radical Group 5 regulations in 1977. From 1982 the championship moved toward Group C sports prototypes, reflecting the changing structure of international sports-car racing. The DRM became one of Europe’s most important national championships, attracting leading manufacturers, teams and drivers, with cars from Porsche, BMW, Ford, Lancia and others competing at circuits including the Nürburgring, Hockenheim and Norisring.

We'll tell the story of this championship on the occasion of its anniversary or when it will reach a sufficient number of cars.
