#AlanLeMay

Alan Brown Le May (1899–1964) was an American novelist, short-story writer and screenwriter, best remembered for his Western fiction. His novels The Searchers and The Unforgiven were adapted into major films directed respectively by John Ford and John Huston, helping to define some of the most complex themes of the postwar American Western. Alongside his literary and Hollywood career, Le May was also active in Southern California sports car circles during the 1950s, a period in which wealthy private entrants, writers, actors and businessmen often crossed paths with imported European racing cars.
