The F12tdf retained the same architecture, further optimized for reduced weight and improved structural stiffness.

On January 4, 2016, Ferrari celebrated its debut on the Italian Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana) with a high-profile ceremony held at Palazzo Mezzanotte, in Piazza Affari, Milan. This followed the company's initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange in October 2015. The façade of the stock exchange building was decorated in Ferrari red, and a curated selection of iconic models was displayed in the square to mark the occasion. The event brought together top Ferrari executives (Sergio Marchionne, John Elkann, Amedeo Felisa, Piero Ferrari), public figures including Italy’s Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, and investors. It served as a national celebration of Ferrari’s return to its Italian roots and its transformation into an independent, publicly traded company.

During Milano Design Week 2016, the yellow Ferrari F12tdf was lifted by crane onto the rooftop terrace of the Galleria Sozzani in one of the most visually striking events of the week. Promoted by ADI (Association for Industrial Design), the installation celebrated Italian excellence in design through a selection of iconic objects, including the F12tdf, which represented the perfect fusion of engineering and aesthetics.
