CAR SPOTTED IN MOVIES. PHOTOS FOUND. 2ND OWNER BORNIGIA TURNS OUT TO BE THE FOUNDER OF THE PIPER CLUB.

STARTING POINT
This is the case of a car with a well-known history, already testified by the authoritative Tony Adriaensens. A premise that did not stimulate, ideally, to undertake further research.
RESEARCH
The iconographic research was particularly fruitful: the presence of the car in the film "Mille Miglia 1953 - A Shell film" was identified. An extensive photographic review has been put together, with previously unpublished photos. Photos and an unreleased video from the 1954 Giro dell'Umbria have been discovered. Last but not least, light has been shed on the fact that Giancarlo Bornigia, second owner and driver of the car at the 1955 Mille Miglia, is "that" Giancarlo Bornigia, son of Renato, former president of the Lazio football team and car enthusiast. Giancarlo is above all known for having founded in 1965 the very famous Piper Club, icon of an entire generation.
